Delete your Excavata account
Request deletion of your Excavata account and associated account data at any time.
You can request deletion of your Excavata account and the account data Excavata holds for you at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Delete your account in the app
If you have access to the Excavata app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes the account data Excavata holds on its servers — your account, any community content you posted, and your team or organisation membership — and signs you out.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, contact Excavata support from the email address associated with your account, using the subject “Delete my Excavata account”, at support@excavata.app. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder before completing the deletion.
What deletion removes
Deleting your account removes the account data Excavata holds on its servers — your account (your email address and, if you provided one, your name), your subscription and licence status, your team or organisation membership, and any community content you posted — subject to any information we are legally required to retain, such as payment records held by our payment processor.
Your on-device project data
Your archaeological project data is stored locally on your device and is not stored on Excavata’s servers, so it is not affected by account deletion. Remove it by resetting or uninstalling the app.
Backups in other services
Data you have backed up or synchronised to third-party services — such as Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive or WebDAV — is controlled through those services and may need to be deleted separately in each service.
